 On
the Even'tide property, we have 9
cottages. They are all named after birds.
Seven of the cottages- Quail, Chickadee, Seagull, Robin, Towhee and Sparrow,
and Kingfisher are rented as housekeeping cottages
(linens and maid service are not provided). The
other two, Sandpiper and Tern,
are rented as motel efficiencies complete
with linens and daily maid service.
Additionally, we offer an offsite housekeeping cottage by the beach, Ebbtide, a
Surfside cottage. |

The
cottages range from a one bedroom, 2
person cottage, to a 4 bedroom, 4 bath
house. Maximum occupancy in our largest
cottage is ten (10) people, including
babies. All of our cottages have outdoor
barbecues and picnic tables, 65-channel
color cable TV, including HBO (except
Ebbtide), telephones, full tiled
baths, carpeted living areas and all have
full kitchens and outdoor decks. Most of
our cottages are located off the main
road, in a quiet wooded setting, at the
back of our property bordering the paved
bicycle trail and beyond that, the
Cape Cod National Seashore property. Kingfisher, our largest rental,
is located at the front of the Eventide property and Ebbtide is off property
by the beach about 2 miles away. Our cottage
guests have full access to the motel's
30'X60' heated indoor pool, attached
private sun deck and large central
playground.

Quail is our largest A-frame cottage. It has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6. Many families like the 2 bedrooms on the first floor, one with one queen bed, the other with 2 twin beds. A spiral staircase leads to a loft that has one queen-size bed and an outdoor balcony. The full tiled bath is on the first floor and includes a tub/shower combination. The kitchen and living room share one large open area with cathedral ceilings. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, portable dishwasher, and all cooking utensils. The living room has a 65-channel cable TV (including HBO), direct dial telephone and a Franklin woodstove opened up to be a fireplace with a gas-log installed. Off the living room, through a sliding glass door is a deck with picnic table and off the deck there is a charcoal barbecue. This cottage has been recently renovated and now has central air conditioning. From late May to late September, Quail is rented Saturday to Saturday only. One family per cottage, please. The rest of the season, there is a 3 night minimum. |

Chickadee - 3 bedroom, sleeps 6 Chickadee is a Cape-style cottage, all on one floor. One bedroom has one queen sized bed, the other 2 bedrooms have 2 twin beds. The kitchen is well-equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave oven and all cooking utensils. Sliders lead from the dining room to an outdoor deck. Off the deck is a charcoal barbecue. From late May to late September, Chickadee is rented weekly, Saturday to Saturday only. One family per cottage, please. Off season, a 3 night minimum applies.

Seagull & Robin - 2 bedroom, sleeps 6 These cottages each sleep 6 people. A circular staircase (not recommended for toddlers) brings you to the 2 upstairs bedrooms, each with one double bed and one twin bed. One of the bedrooms has a sliding glass door and an outdoor balcony (not shown) overlooking the Cape Cod Rail Trail, and the trees beyond. On the first floor is an open kitchen/living room area. The kitchen has an oven, refrigerator, microwave oven, and all cooking utensils. Outside the kitchen door, there is a charcoal barbecue. The living room has a 65-channel color cable TV including HBO and a DVD player. There is a brick hearth with a Franklin wood stove that can be opened up, with a screen, to work like a fireplace. These cottages are now air conditioned. A slider from the living room leads to a deck with a picnic table. New for 2011: Seagull has a new deck and slider. In Season, Seagull and Robin are both rented weekly, Saturday to Saturday only. Off season, there is a 3 night minimum. |

Towhee & Sparrow - 2 bedroom, sleeps 4 This double A-Frame is actually two separate cottages that share a common chimney. On the first floor, there is an open kitchen/living room and a full tiled bath. The living room has a 65-channel (including HBO) cable TV and DVD player and a Franklin wood stove that can be opened up with a screen to work like a fireplace. The kitchen has a refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, pots and pans and dishes. Outside the kitchen door is a charcoal barbecue. The 2 bedrooms, each with one double bed, are up a circular staircase (not recommended for toddlers.) The bedroom on the back of the cottage (not shown) has an outdoor balcony overlooking the Cape Cod Rail Trial (a paved bicycle path), and the trees beyond. Off the living room, there is an outdoor deck with a picnic table. These cottages now have air conditioning. In Season, Towhee and Sparrow are both rented weekly, Saturday to Saturday only. Off season, a 3 night minimum stay is required. |

Sandpiper - 3 bedroom, sleeps 6 Sandpiper is a three bedroom Cape Cod cottage rented with linens and daily maid service. Recently remodeled, this cottage now has three separate bedrooms- one queen bed with TV, one double bed, and two twin beds with TV. The open living area features a flat screen TV with a DVD player and a comfortable eating area. New for 2010, Sandpiper has a new kitchen. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, pots and pans and dishes. Outside,
there is a deck with a picnic table and a
gas grill. The cottage has a ceiling fan and air conditioning.
Maximum occupancy in
Sandpiper is 6 people (including babies).
Sandpiper can be rented nightly or weekly. Minimum stays
may be required. |

This cozy one bedroom cottage is perfect for the couple wanting more than just a hotel room. This Cape Cod cottage has 3 rooms, a private deck, and comes with linens and daily maid service. The bedroom has one queen bed and a TV. The separate living room has a new couch, cable TV, DVD player, and telephone. The eat-in kitchen has a full size refrigerator, 2-burner cooktop, microwave oven, toaster, coffeemaker, and all kitchen supplies. Outside, you can relax on your private deck, cook out on the charcoal barbecue, enjoy a meal at the picnic table, or take a nap in the hammock. This is a cottage couples return to year after year. |

Note:
There are two major differences between a
stay in our housekeeping cottages
(Ebbtide, Blue Heron, Quail, Chickadee,
Robin, Seagull, Towhee and Sparrow)
and a stay in our motel efficiency
cottages (Sandpiper and Tern). They are:
- Pillows and blankets are provided in
all cottages. Housekeeping cottage
customers supply their own sheets,
pillowcases and towels (including pool
towels) and household paper products
(bathroom tissue, paper towels, trash
bags, etc.) Linens and towels are available for rent at
$20/person. These supplies are provided
in Tern and Sandpiper.
- Housekeeping cottage customers are expected to leave their cottage in the same clean condition as they found it (cleaning supplies provided). To this extent, a $100.00 Cleaning/Security Deposit is collected upon arrival. It is returned after you check out provided the cottage is left in the same condition as you found it. Our cleaning crew sanitizes each cottage between customers, however the cottage should already be clean when they arrive. Tern and Sandpiper receive daily maid service and do not require a cleaning deposit.
